Shortly after founding FlexoChem, Grant became aware of the stark difference between local solvent safety standards in Africa and those upheld internationally. Determined to bridge this gap, he set out to develop washout solvents that meet international safety standards while remaining accessible at African pricing.

Environmental responsibility is another cornerstone of our business. In 2008, Grant and theFlexoChem team went about redeveloping industry-standard distillation equipment. Their first deep vacuum, nitrogen-purged system increased recovery rates by 80%, setting a new benchmark in the industry. The second iteration, completed in 2017, achieved a staggering 98% recovery rate!
